And it’s been KILLING ME..

I had to have something to keep my brain occupied while I sent my brand new engines off to be modified, and have been kinda keeping it on the low until I was in good enough shape to do a build thread…

Well-it’s almost that time, I believe.. I wonder just how many “irons in the fire” is one iron too many…

This particular build has required far more than the average amount of “prep work”, and this is how my bench sits as of 6:30 this morning.. I’ve literally run myself outta room to work, and had to fashion a couple “temporary” work stations toward the tail end of this yesterday.. I can tell you that working at a TV tray table approximately 3” lower than my bench absolutely suuuuucks balls.. I did have another setup to work on, and transplant stuff to the towel covered “wobble master-slip-n’-slide 9000”, which was cleaned off, folded back up, and returned to it’s home just prior to shooting these pics at zero dark thirty this morning after a couple moderately long sessions.. FINALLY about ready to fully pull the curtain back, and start the build thread.. Just figured I’d share, and have had “the shakes” from not having a ton to contribute to the board in so long..

Nope! I needed to be able to properly clean, and inspect every last item from chassis to .1mm shim, and prepare for an accurate “inventory”, and put away what I’m not using for the build.

Believe me-this particular build required a TON of leg work, and super special parts/vehicle locating to make it a worth while venture, so I had to make ME, my own parts support for this deal..

Now that being said-I MAY have been leaned on just a bit to do a few pics of the compiled nonsense BEFORE starting the inventory, and parts storage process, but I think it was worth it to really explain the gravity of this here “situation”, if you will..

-plus; I know you’ve seen at least one or two of my build threads, and know exactly how psycho my asss is..

You'd probably want to slit your wrists if you had my workspaces. Nothing quite like having to move a bottle of nitro just so you can set your morning coffee down on a proper coaster. LOL!

I did this decades ago with Kyosho stuff and I'm SO happy I did!!!
This sounds like so much fun if not a bit stressful at times!!! Stocking the shelves is harder than it sounds!

When I rebuild the same arm/hinge joint 6 times until its shimmed just right, I think of you.

Thanks brochacho!!! I’m glad yall feelers are able to find some solace, as well as entertainment in my freakin novels! Here ya go - to make everybody feel better about how 'trashed' their workspaces are:

Set this up so I'd have a nice place to work on airbrushing and other various projects.

Then trashed it accordingly.

Had to scoot some crap out of the way in order to get this much room. Then it got cold, so had to move inside.

I started getting serious about building model cars again, and hate using the kitchen table, so I took a huge swing at a 'wing' of the computer desk.

Things kind grew into things and got out of hand.

Now, it's all kinda trashed again.

This is all the room I could eke out to work on the 'Hawk when I brought him inside.

So yeah - I'm a little envious of you 'neat freaks.' LOL!!
