I'm getting really aggravated with this t-maxx i cannot get it tuned in for the life of me getting way to much fuel i turn the needles down it still runs like crap and can i get this pro 15 to wheelie the t maxx i wanna go for bottem end power got a 72 tooth spur gear and a 20 tooth clutch bell ne combinations that will give me the bottem end power and i have a 2.5 motor just sitting here that is supposed to be ported and polished can i use the ez start clutch and fly wheel of the pro 15 or do i need new parts for it

You will have a tough time getting the pro 15 to wheely. The 72 tooth spur is good, but for more bottom end drop the clutchbell to a 18 tooth bell. If you are using the stock pipe that will need to be upgraded too, the old AE tuned pipes work great on those old Pro .15 maxxes for adding low end torque.

I'm not sure what pipe is on it i dont believe it is stock if your go to my profile and view my album it shows the pipe

Throwing rigs is fun. Just ask chip. First time we had a crawler g2g, he picked up his brand new slash, and chunked it across the parking lot, sliding it on its lid for about 50yards. HAHA.

That's a blast from the past. I havent seen one of those rear exhaust set up cvec pipes in years. The first thing you need to do is take that pipe apart and gut all the adjustable crap out of the inside of it.

yea thats my next step just got a air filter well kinda its i in line filter for like a lawn mower but its small and looks like it will work fine just need something to keep the crap out and what about the 2.5 will the pro .15 fly wheel and clutch bell work on it and the ez start

The pro-15 is a standard crank, rotary carb, side exhaust engine.
The 2.5/3.3 is pilot crank (priopriatary to traxxas threads), slide carb, rear exhaust engine.

For my money, I'd drop in a OS18CV-R. Great little engine, tunes nice, good power, long life, decent fuel economy. You will have to live with a pull-start though. For me, I proffer the pull-start. One less thing to charge/carry around. You can find one that should pretty much drop in your rig as is. Just have to look at tower to get the right one to fit your needs.

Once you get an OS broke in, starting them is usually a piece of cake. They hold a tune really well and are generally forgiving on the tune.

Chunking trucks?? Count ME IN!! LOL Been a long time since I tossed a truck........hmmm...the good ole days

I have to agree, the OS 18 CV-RX is a great engine. Had one in one of my old Maxxes, great engine for the money. I was running stock gearing and an older style AE tuned pipe. Run really good.

Good luck with it and if you start chunking trucks...get it on VIDEO! :hehe:

-Nitro

back when I first started with nitro,I got mad enough at them and threw'em. I broke the front a-arm on my Nitro Sport on one throw. My wife always got ticked at me when I did that. :hehe:

well the hard part is i dont want to thow it i got a 2.5 ready to go for it i got the throttle pipe everything ready to go just need the fly wheel and clutch for the 2.5 i wanna stay with pull start hate ez start will the clutch fly wheel work off the pro 15 thats the ? no one will answer that if you look at my profile and see the trucks i got two pro 15s and a 2.5 plus a electric stampede i will trade the two odd balls for a good running truck i live in upstate ny

Oh, I see. Didn't realize you had parts for and a 2.5 already on hand.

Flywheel should fit without issue. They are relatively universal. But, you may need a new collet for the 2.5.
