Once again Mayhem is at work getting great content for the site.

If you are going to submit information to Mayhem, please make sure the articles are your own, don't post reviews from someone else and call them yours. If you posting a tip and you got it from a mag or someone you know, please give them credit for it.

Lets Rock!

I've been talking up using Plasi-dip aerosol as a kind of liquid/spray-on mask for a while now. I don't think anybody else has tried it, but ImBroken just purchased a couple cans, if we had a few members that thought it worked well it might be a good thing to add to the tips page. i wouldn't want it posted on the front page if I was the only person backing it

Mayhem did a great job for me, he Pm'ed me and ased if he could put my review on the main page. He formatted it, cleaned it up a bit made it a permanent feature of the site, then gave me credit even though it was just as much work getting it up and posted..

I'd really like to see some RCNT reviews unbiased in depth reviews, the stuff you can't get from a mag.

I actually tried that stuff like a year ago. I was trying to mask off the hook, but i was a failure...lol Would have been easier if I bought more of it instead of just a tiny bit.

There's a thread somewhere with the pictures. But if i uploaded them on RCNT, they're not there anymore.

Possibly a mask job that would have been, "Off the hook, yo".... lol
That's it, too much MTV Cribs for me...

Lessen a plasti-dip review/tip would be great!

good idea Kwong

-Kwong, if you wanna post a how to on using Aerolsol plastidip as a liquid mask that would be cool. I think it's a really good idea but it's not really proven yet cuz nobody has really tried it out. I just spray the inside of the body with 3 medium coats and let dry.. then cut and peel as needed just like a normal mask.

lol, well I used that stuff like 7-8 months ago on a celica body. It was the brush on kind though. Unfortunately I didn't have a lot of the stuff, so I tried to use as little as possible. It didn't turn out all that great in the masking dept.. Right now it's prepped to be painted, but i'm lazy so it just sits.

If there's a new aerosol kind, I might give it a try. But it would have to be in at least a month from now since i'm saving for a new engine.

oops, my bad Kwong. That message was supposed to be for Mayhem. Sorry dude.

Mayhem- There's your tip^^ hehe

Kwong- yeah, just like any other mask you have to put it on pretty liberally, weird how it doesn't look as thick coming off as it does going on.

Maybe I'll do this truck body I got layin around and takes some more pictures stressing how well it works.

Ill post anything that is worthy and informational. A masking tip sounds great.
