i'm new to nitro and i'm having an issue...

I have a brand new CEN Magnum NX
i'm running a 20% fuel
all the carb screws are in the factory settings

the engine runs great at idle
the problem i'm having is that once i remove the plug ingitor, the engine dies

i've let it idle almost to the point were its drained a full tank and it still cuts off the moment you remove the ignitor

any tips?

its very possible you have to bad plugs!

If you have an electric start then you should have a glow plug wire, put that on and see if it makes a difference!

If it still does it then i would get another glow plug and if that one does not work then i have no clue man!

But if you have a pull start then just try getting a new plug!

new plug, no change

temps arent getting above 100*
i'm not sure how much oil is supposed to come out of the exhaust, but it seems like a lot

still not staying on when i remove the ignitor

mabe start leaning it out some . sounds like too rich there are many tips in the forums how to tune it in. JT

If your temps aren't going above 100, and you have a good plug in there, you are probably way too rich. These little Nitro motors need to generate heat to burn off the fuel ;-) So I would start leaning out the HSN a little at a time and get some heat out of it...then see where you sit.

same here i am pissed at my T-Maxx right now because i have way over $1,000 into it and i have already replaced a motor and i can't get this one tuned either!

I think I'm just gonna save some money and build my own from scratch! :)

Your plugs are fine. You are at factory rich settings.
Two major clues you give, both point to a very rich LSN.
One, it won't get warm, and two, it will only run with the ignitor in place.
Start by leaning the LSN about 1/8 of a turn, then let the engine temp rise. When it's stable, remove the ignitor. It might sputter, but run it slowly till it can blow some snot out of the system.
If necessary, lean it a little more, but only in 1/16 increments, and check it the same way.
When you're able to remove the ignitor without noticing much change in the idle, continue with the break in. Keep a close eye on the temps.
