hi all,

i have had a 1/8 buggy ( xtm xt2) for about a year i am looking for a more experienced (faster ex more fun) rc car i don't mind if it is a road car buggy or truck nitro. has any1 got any ideas

thank you

Well where are you going to be racing this car? If it's only for speed, you could take a look at the Traxxas Jato, those are notorious for being fast. Or you could just change the gearing on your rig or get a stronger engine

Watch some vids on youtube, find something that appeals to you. Then we can help you more with brands/models.

i would sometimes race but more car parks n fields than raceing

Yep, need to know what you want the rig to do, but here are some starting points:

If you like the buggy but are looking for 4X4 you might want to start with the Associated RC8T. It is a great truggy (buggy modified to four wheel drive with truck tires, etc.).

If you are looking at MT rigs then I would highly suggest the Losi Aftershock.

On-road look at the HPI RS4.

it is now a choice between Associated RC8T and a savage xl what do you think about the savage is it a good truck:)

IMO I say the Savage. It's durable and well worth the price. Savage is great for bashing. I wouldn't think it would keep up with truggies though.
With the RC8T, you do get the performance of a buggy and the durability of a truck. If you are going to be racing and bashing then I would go with this.

If you are used to a buggy driving a Savage will feel like a school bus on roids. the RC8T is going to be like your buggy but 3X faster and handle 10X better. The RC8T will not do wheelies where as a Savage will.
Me personally, I'd buy the RC8T RS. It's better made than a Savage and drives like an off road Porsche.

i am goin to buy the hpi rtr nitro rs4 3 drift cos it looks really fun and i would like to get into drifting as i have got a big car park near me. for drifting all you need is a on road car and drift wheels am i right
