Thanks guys. I was setting up my Saltwater fishtank yesterday. Got it all set up with the filter going and the sand and rocks in... the water is like 3 times too hard, so i gotta drain it out, and wait for my RO unit... Also waiting on my lighting setup, and i will be good to go. The tank tested perfect after i got the SG right, with the exception of the hardness. I will be setting RC aside for a little while, while I'm setting up the tank and getting goin.

Thanks for thinkin of me guys...

Good luck on that tank. Sometimes it starts to make nitrates right away and sometimes it takes several fish and weeks. If you test a lot, (sounds like you are already) you will see the ammonias go away and then out of control nitrates. A good sign your life cycle is starting. It gets pretty exciting after that. A reverse osmosis filter will balance that hard water, but sometimes you may find yourself buying pre-made water. I used all pre-made for my initial fill. A little expensive, but sped things up.

Yeah, I'm waiting on the RO unit. It was $150, but i think its well worth it. I dont know how i could put it into the tank filter system, i thought it was just for hooking up to the hose to filter out all the bad stuff. When i get the damned water set up again, with the right salt level, i think i will look into some damsels.
