Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has run a car with front one way / solid then gone to a front diff...
I took mine out for a run for the first time with a front diff in the weekend and it seems to be sliding a lot more than it was - braking is WAY better but seems to come unstuck a lot easier, I do have a chunk out of one of my rears which I'll be replacing in the next couple of days but I don't think it's bad enough to effect overall handling of the car.
Is this likely to be a setup thing due to the changes the diff makes or is it just running with the front diff altogether? I had been told I'd have more cornering/control not more drift (I haven't got a setup board so can only get it sorted when other epople are at the track with one if it is down to camber/droop etc etc).
Cheers,
T.

braking is better because the front is actually used to brake instead of only the rear wheels trying to stop......same reason you're not drifting as much since the rear isn't pushing as hard as it used to......the chunking is probably from cutting corners alot tighter with grip.....I like spooled fronts on my TC, it gives a "point and shoot" kind of driving since it pulls all the time.......try tightening up your diff a little at a time to see if you get better handling as well.....I hate one ways, you might as well drive a RWD pan car instead......

Cheers Plaid, was saying it's drifting more now though - seems to come unstuck MUCH easier compared to the one way and yeah 4 wheel brakes kick butt, no more instant 180's after the straight if I get a bit trigger happy :D
I can't tighten the diff (goes by weights of silicone it's sealed unit) I'm currently running 30000 front and 10000 rear which I have been told is a good combo to plant the rear some but it's just not happening, maybe I just have to adjust driving style (heh I'll pretend that I can drive) some more and use less power on in corners...
I'll see how I get on this weekend with new rears (might even go slightly softer foam) and if it's still as bad as it seemed come back to RCNT for more advice.
