half tank lean?

What is the best easyiest way to fix the half tank lean issue? I have read about people using check valve on pressure line (one way valve) and some run different tanks. Do any of you have direct fit tank option that works? Thanks in advance Shawn

The best way to fix it is to find the source of the leak. Half-tank lean-outs are usually caused by a crack in the tank or a pin hole in the pickup line. When the fuel level drops below that point the system starts sucking air.

Well I put new fuel lines on and submerged tank in water and blew, no bubbles. I havent ran it since the new fuel lines so maybe thats the problem. But I was under the impression the it was due to tank design on t maxx's

The stock tank will do that on a maxx. The fuel splashes away from the pickup much easier than it does on alot of other rigs. I would get a proline 'runtime' tank, it has a 'clunker' style pickup that works well for me.

I never had a lean run issue with the stock tank that I noticed. I just kept busting thanks. After the 7th one, I started modding things so I could run different tanks. I ran a OFNA 125cc buggy tank for a long time. I liked the tune it held so much that I later ran the same tank on my savage. I tried running it on my most recent savage, but 125cc isn't much fuel when your running an LRP28.

This was an old 2.5 chassis maxx that I moved the tank on and used the OFNA tank:

Requires a bit of fiddling and new holes to be drilled for things, but never had a tank issue again.
