yea i finally took it underwater to see what happens. i had to tie some weight on it to keep it down but it was pretty sweet. all i can say is silicone glue/sealant is your best friend to keep water out.

besides from being a little doggy cause the water was damn cold and the fact that the clutch was soaked it was pretty cool to drive it under water. i rigged a large piece of silicone hose for the intake and another for the exhaust up in the air with a coat hanger. looks pretty funny but it works quite well if you dont have any aluminum tube laying round.

after i got it down there i was hoping it wouldnt crack the clutch material cause of the sudden temp change, but i guess i was lucky.

Talk about balls! Usually when I read a post about a MT and water it was on accident. Make sure to tear it down and get rid of any water..

Hmmm that did take balls. Cracking a clutch is the last thing I would worry about. Depending on how cold the water is I would more worried about cracking a block. I guess theoretically if it is running it should be ok but if it died you would be out of a mill. I sure couldn't put a $400 truck through water like that. Yeah I'd have to see it on video to full on beleive it. Just call me a skeptic. More power to ya though.

what are you talking about 400 dollars in onvestments and bills?......dude i fear nothing withe these little cars. when youve been working on high performance sports cars...these things are like taking your tools apart. i sealed everything with silicone and yes i took it all apart just to see if anything happened and no water got in anywhere. trust me when i say silicone in your friend cause i sealed Everything from the battery box to the servos. anything that comes apart has was sealed..even the engine

Holy crap that is crazy i would never take an rc under water. And el pirata That is crazy to a $400 repair bill for bashing that is crazy.

LOL...that is one of EP's cheap trips.
