I have a GV am radio(came with nitro car) and at around the 2-3 hour mark from new the steering servo went kaput. while diagnosing the problem the throttle/brake servo went kaput. I replaced them with Futaba S3003 servos for testing(just to make sure the RX and the TX were OK) and they seem to run fine. Any one have any ideas why 2 servos would go within 15 minutes of on another? Is GV just a crap brand and this is the norm?

Yup, I think we're talking crap here. I never heard of that brand of radio either. Also, you'll want to go with FM or 2.4 when it dies on you. AM is cheapie. Futaba is a great all around radio for a good price, and the servos you bought should last a long time.

GV stands for Great Vigor. I think they produce the XTM under a different brand.
Went down to talk to local supplier and was told they have seen them go in 1/2 an hour. One wonders how they make a profit with all the warranty returns on that sort of crap. Nitro car(BV-1) seems OK and its a GV as well.:)
