So, one of my buddys i work with is looking for a subcompact glock, and i got the glock 26, and the glock 27. Same gun, different cal. one is a 9mm, one is a .40. I wana keep the .40 and was considering selling the 9mm..... he got a S&W airweight .38 5shot revolver he wants to trade. Model 642 i believe. Good idea? Bad idea? Any opinions?

And no, i really dont care if you dont like guns, so dont waste my time.

I'd go for it especially since you have essentially the same gun in the Glocks.

The Model 642 is bad ass little hand cannon.

its the centenial with the hammerless, real nice, idk. its a decent price difference

I've not had too much experience with S&W's but they are obviously a reputable brand but I have always prefered a .38 over a 9mm any day and I'm not much of a fan of Glock personally, so I think I would trade. Although I always need money more, so Id prolly just sell the 9mm.

I hear ya on the money thing, but buying and selling guns these days...... never know who you are selling to. I dont really carry the g26 much these days since i got the g27, but I'm going from a 10rd 9mm to a 5rd .38. I'm an awesome shot, but still, like them extra rounds.

Tough call indeed. I guess it all depends on your needs.... money or a nice smith. If you are just looking to unload a piece you don't use much, then I would trade for the smith.... if you could use the extra money... and like slowngreen...I am there! I would sell the glock. I own three of them, and they are like my three other children! LOL
