Gt Time!!!!!

Well, i just came back from the track, and i got about 3 fricken laps in with my buggy. And 0 laps with my gt since it was messed up (throttle was messed)... I got it started once, but that was it. I could've ran my buggy more at the end but my battery died in my rx.... ALTHOUGH, I did get my buggy engine tuned really good by the guy at my lhs before i went to the track... I guess i should've let him tune my gt also. We were there for an hour and my dad was really ready to go so i didn't even ask. It seems like I have the worst luck at ANY track i go to. Even back in pittsburgh... O well, someday my streak will end...

UPDATE: I fixed my GT!!!! I ran it today for about 3/4 a tank cuz it started raining.... :thumbdown But hey, at least i fixed it. I set my starter box for my gt instead of my buggy cuz I HATE pullstarters..... Starter boxes work 10 times better. All I did was turn the throttle screw so that the opening was much smaller. I tried it out and it was running a bit lean, so i richened out the high end. Havent really touched the low end yet... but the engine seems kind of slow. Might just be that the engine in general is slow... whatever lol.

Hey again... I might be getting a new engine pretty soon (about a month or 2) and I've been looking at the new Wasp .12 ROAR with the blue crankcase. It looks so sweet. The ratings are 1.45hp and 37,000rpm. AND its right in my price range for a GOOD engine. BETTER than the OS cv-r ( had 1)

Wasp .12 Roar

Is this a good choice?

EDIT: hmmmmmm i just read that it's turbo plug... those r a pain.

I wouldnt say that they are a pain, they just cost a little more... I have never used a .12... or any small block for very long... i just have a thing for big blocks.

UPDATE: I just got $50 worth of stuff for my GT. (I'm getting a upgraded servo also cuz slow servos are like trying to drive your car with a slug as a servo) Heres the servo I'm getting http://www.balsapr.com/catalog/Servos/bluebirdStandardServosView.asp?ProductId=U684400 I have this in my throttle for my buggy and I'm in love with it. and look at the price!!!

I got:

Associated Factory Team 4-40 Aluminum Locknut (6)(I can't STAND NYLON LOCKNUTS)

Associated Factory Team Aluminum Locknuts 8-32

Associated Throttle Pivot Clip (was missing when i got my GT)

Trinity E-Clips 1/8" (12)

Hitec 3-Channel 75MHz Receiver FM (so i can use my MX-3 for my gt also)
(This should work with my stock MX-3 x-tals right?) http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCBC7&P=K

RPM Mini Bumper Blue 10T/T2/GT

RPM Heavy Duty Rod Ends Blue 4-40 (12)

This all came out to be $50.20 and I had a $20 code :hammer: So $38.20 (shipping) for ALL THAT is Really good IMO.

nvm.. I got my GT to work today! Yay! and i tuned it all by myself (I'm a big boy now). BUT theres 1 problem. When i had everything seeming perfect, the temp was 240-60.... Then i richened it up (HSN) about 1/4 turn, it either started and then stalled, or just didn't start. Anyone have any ideas on whats wrong? i might be bringing it to the lhs tomorrow so they can check it out.
