About starter boxes..

I got an Ofna True-start 1/8th buggy starter box for my Storm RTR. It was $99 at my LHS. It's very nice, it has two motors and runs off a 12v battery. That price didn't include the battery though, but the battery is only like $25 at a battery store.

This was the starter box I was going to get, I had it side by side with the dynamite, The reason for going with the dynamite was everyone had told me that one large motor produced almost twice the tourque as a 2 motor box, although I didnt belive this at first ,I proved that theory later when I used it up against NA's starter box, his died early, mine started his buggy all day long!
one fat motor=better than two small

SO that starter box fit a stock storm without needing any modification?

Yup, the Storm RTR chassis and engine will work perfectly with any 1/8th scale starter box. Well, I suppose some might be for certian chassis and stuff, but all the ones I've seen would be fine.

The Ofna box I got only requires you to line up the pins so that when you plop the car down it lines up the flywheel with the rubber wheel in the box. This is actually a pain since it's a close fit and hard to tell if they line up right. But you only have to do it once.

This is quite possible, but I think my box is plenty powerful enough for the job of starting my buggy. It has ample amounts of power to turn over the engine even when it was 20 degrees today and I've used it about fifteen times so far. I couldn't imagine needing anything more then what my two motor box puts out for torque, what are you guys starting, go-carts?

As a footnote, I would NEVER have been able to start the engine without a starter box today, without first heating the engine with a hair dryer or something.
