Hi all again

I was wondering what would be a good replacement for the gs stock pipe taht comes with the storm rtr.

Because at the moment it is just way to noisy.

Cheers

I am with you on this one 3guk. I just got my storm the other day and the pipe is just a little to loud for my liking. I want a pipe that has good performance without all the noise.

Anyone have any suggestions??

Also anyone know where i can get the storm pro hingepin mounts because i have trashed all my plastic ones.

Cheers

Well since you felt the need to jump up on your search soapbox I am going to jump up on mine..

I had done the search and read the threads. The one I saw that was pretty well directly related to this one took a nice detour and gave basically no good info. Then heaven forbid a new person might find some info in a thread and want some more info because the choices are start a thread like this and get your non-helping do a search post.. or bring the old up back up where you will give your non-helping check the dates post. So if you could please just choose to post something helpful or not at all.

Sorry.. dont mean to piss anyone off.. but if you have "answered" a thread that many times and it pains you to do so again.. just dont! Maybe someone else will come in and give a answer that helps out new people. I mean honestly.. how many topics have NEVER been discussed on this board?? Very few I would imagine.. so if you already know everything that is going to be posted and you dont want to help then just leave.

Ok.. I will get off the soapbox now. Sorry.. I just get tired of every thread having someone say "search" when I have already searched and not got the answers to my questions.

Well almost any pipe is quieter than the stock Storm pipe LOL!!
Personaly I run the Novarossi 9886 efra pipe & I love it! They are usely all over ebay for sale, I picked up one used (in great shape) there for $38.00 shipped. RB pipes are also very good quality pipes that are available everywhere.

Thanks Humbolt.. that thread is helpful. Could you tell me what pipe that is in the picture that you were suggesting??

That is a Dynamite poilished 1/8th scale pipe. You can find it here...
Dynamite

Ask you LHS, I'm sure you can get it cheaper... I've seen em for $60.

Right now I am leaning towards the Ofna 063 or 086. From what I understand (based on what I have read here) the 063 does not produce as much power but is better for fuel economy and the 086 is a beast but at the cost of fuel consumtion. My question is though (as is the original point of this thread) which one of these is more quiet? Or are they both about the same on sound?

dual chambers seem quieter than single to me, also some pipes have a baffle inside to further quite them. Just about any 1/8 scale pipe is going to be quieter than the stock GS Storm pipe. Also noise can further be reduced by a carb restrictor that limits the amount of fuel consumption. As far as I know 086 is mid to top end power (meaning more power in the upper RPMs) and the 063 is a low to mid range pipe (meaning low end grunt and torque with quick acceleration.) Hope that helps.

COuld you guys find me one on ebay uk.

I dunno what i am lukking for.

sorry but I will not look on Ebay UK for you. I helped, I will be more than happy to help again but you will need to do some homework ask some questions and find a pope yourself.

I went ahead and ordered a Ofna 086.. hopefully I will like it. A lot of people on various boards seem to think it is pretty good. Thanks for the help guys!

Yea thanks think i am going t odo the same thing..
