I'm preparing to seaql my stock 3.3 and have found the thread in engines and motors describing engine sealing. that thread mentions using Associateds green slime on the HSN and LSN and idle screw. Arfe there any susstitute materials for this? How about axle bearing grease for a 1:1 car?

I just sealed my engine about a week ago. Make sure you don't over-tighten the hsn. I made that mistake and now I have to order a new carb housing.

Thanks for the input I dont want to spend the money ob green slime if I can find a good substitute, especially for something I may already have at home. I'm going to try the axle grease grease first. It's high temp rated and still a petroleum product so I dont think it wil harm anything it contacts. Its new leftover grease from the wheel bearings on my old jeep cherokee that I repacked last summer. and its thicker than vaseline. I heard similar stories about the HSN , I havent looked yet but it sounds like the HSN threads are real fine pitch and easy to strip. Ill repost with results about the wheel beaqrin grease. Thanks for the inputs
