I've seen loads of these on E-bay and a lot of their stuff looks really good but has anyone used it. Is it any good and stronger than stock. I know the postage can cost a bit but if it's good stuff then i might get some

It probably depends on what your buying... skid plates or axle arms. I think the al is made out of 6065, so it isn't the hardest, but I think most companies that make arms use the same stuff.

Most American companies use 6061-T6 or 7075. Most Chinese companies can't get that in China, so they use something other than that. That is why they break so fast. Its called Pot metal in the US. As in, "whats left in the bottom of the pot". Good for trinkets, but not for RC.

Sorry, forgot the T6. If I remember correctly, the 6061 is aluminum and magnesium and the 7075 is aluminum and nickel? The T6 is the tempering process they both go through.

I have GPM chassis braces and engine plate on my Savage. Universals and C hubs on the NMT. So far I'm happy with GPM...

For some parts they provide different thicknesses and alloys (a pair of 7075 alloy 3mm thick TVP would cost $19 more) at http://www.rcmshop.com/catalog/default.php

If anyone knows an Asian based online store with alum hop ups for the Nitro MT, please post a link? The shop in link above only sells parts for the Savage and T Maxx.
