I have 2 questions. One is are the GPM universal cvd's for the hpi rs4 3 any good? I would like to get front abd back and driver train sets but they seem too cheap to be true. The MIP's cost double the price. Please let me know. Also i was wondering if anyone know anything about dual exhausts for the HPI RS4 3 SS is any good. Here is an example. What other exhaust pipes should i get or expansion chambers to make my car faster. The stock 12SS engine is just not good enough. Thanks

What about the gpm 6 cvd's? Anyone know if the dual exhuast is ANY good? Cause it looks pretty cool and sounds pretty cool...
Thanks

I cannot imagine, this huge back pressure and lag of blowing the exhaust gases out of this long dual exhaust pipe will help to improve power.. it might look neat.. but somehow i'm guessing loss of power is the result.

If you want a dual exhaust like that go to your local hardware store and buy the pipe and fitting from them as that is all it is. It is just plumbing fittings. It will have a power lose, hard to start cause it will never be able to push all the oil out of the pipe.

But please someone tell if the gpm cvd's are good. They are 10$$ for a pair. That seems to good to be true. Please let me know

It doesn't look as though anyone uses them so if all esle fails, at $10 a pair, you don't have much to lose to try them. My guess is that at that price they probably are not very good but then what do I know. I do know that top quality parts cost money and generally are really worth the cost but I suppose you have to pay for a name if you want top shelf items. Rarely do you get the best or even close for "half the cost".

I'm getting the dual exhaust. The reviews from the buyers from this guy are really good. They say its faster, and sounds cooler. This dual exhaust is supposed to have pressurized chambers as well so its not just piping.

whats your guys input?

Maybe I can talk you into getting one of these instead.

I made a post about these if anyones interested. It's a nice alternative to those ebay sets. It's unbendable by hand and you can still use your tuned pipe.

how much? But wouldnt that ruin the back pressure? How was that made? I have an rs4 3 ss can you make one that fits? Thanks

Damon

Damon, please don't ruin the performce by adding a dual exhaust!!!!!!

Well...i just clipped a corner today and breaking the POS hpi PLASTIC exhaust....so I'm breaking out my really good german glue and glueing it back. Then I'm buying this dual exhaust supposed to enhance the performance. Then possibly a really good race pipe for my gt so i can inter change them. dual exhuast on my murcielago with a .12 sirio, and some superstar chrome rims is gonna look phat.

does anybody know if those duel pipes can go on a HPI subaru Impreza spintro-7458 with WRC body 1/10 scale .12 engine
but I dont know what that means:stupid:

if its a rs4 3 or 2 they make them. the body doesn't matter

if i was u i wouldnt get a dual exhaust, more than likely u will not like it after a while, and ur engine will be roasted faster

most of the duel exhaust are made out of copper which is heavy. I have one that i dont use anymore. I am willing to sell it if anyone wants to buy. Its made for a hpi rs4 3 and it works. Email me.

Warning, warning, don't do it. I put a dual exhaust on my Savage 25 and it sucked so bad it didn't even last through tuning. It's to heavy. It has no power. It's to bulky. Robbs to much power. Not what they clame. It may look nice, but i'd bet on a slug first. My dual exhaust sits in my box taking up space. Learn from my mistake. Do not buy these pieces of crap unless you want something slower than a dead one eyed Sloth with no legs.

It doesn't make the engine slower, or at least the one i have. It is heavy and bulky though. This one actually has chambers so it looks like a race pipe but then splits into 2 sections. Not recommended for racing your car will be heavier, but it does look pretty sick.
