Actually it's not necessarily DFAS that has me PO'd today but the Army's whole, well not actually the Army's but the Bases Mafia type BS. Paperwork I filled out 2 weeks ago did not get filed for almost 2 weeks and for some reason DFAS's fax machine is not accepting my paperwork. It took everyone else's paperwork but not mine, at least so I am told. It also appears that the finance people on my base only attempt a single fax a day, no deposit no return. To make a long story short, the 30k bonus I was expecting a few days ago will be an additional 7 - 14 days.
No K-3, no engine for my K-1, not synthasized radio, etc.. for my RC's and unless some miracle happens I will not be able to head over to Error's place for a bash weekend with Sky and Error. This really sucks. The person I talked to on the phone sid they would call and see if they could get my paperwork rushed through due to technical difficulties on their end. I have my fingers crossed but am prepared for the worst. What a way to start out a day.
I guess I can point the finger at me for not making infinate phone calls over the past 2 weeks asking the status of my paperwork and giving the finance people a clue how badly I want my bonus. Betcha a dollar they'll remember me until this transaction. I will call them not less than 3 times a day asking about this. Hell, I might even make an appearance but I will need to mind my temper as grasping someone' by their lapel's is not considered politically correct, though it does get your point across.
I think I'm going to go grab my sledgehammer and go make some boulders into pebbles. I need to work off this aggression before I make an appearance and do something really stupid.
