anyone know how to strip the blue color off the aluminum. i got it from that xdamxincx guy that posted all the parts for sale for really good deals. he posted all the prices and the paypal account info, and his friend that actually had the parts sent in a weeks time after payment. $70 shipped brand new in package.

for the safety factor, i'd advise to got with EZ cleaner. may take a bit longer, but not as much hazard in dealing with raw draino

If you do use Oven cleaner be careful that you do not leave it on too long as it will cause pitting in the material.

I got one too off a different forum! It was a little bent, but I only paid $40 shipped! Oh, and the top body mount nubs were wore off, but I wasn't going to use them anyway. To me, they just look like something to catch stuff on when you roll it.

After hammering it back into shape (about 10 minutes of fiddling) and 20 minutes to put it together and install it, I have a sweet cage too! They just make the savage look that much more mean!

I just learned that Greased lighting degreaser works awesome and wont harm the aluminum like Oven cleaner. Dirtracingfool gave me this tip and it works great. I just did my rims/ a arms and chassis! Be carefull with the oven cleaner it will turn the aluminum black it actually start to eat it and it a pain to get it off trust me lol.

Here is a pic of my Chassis after using the Greased lightning. I filled up a plastic tuperware dish with the degreaser and let it set for a while and most of it came right off. It works different on certain types of anodize, When I did my A arms the anodize came right off the chassis took a little bit of elbo grease lol

i took off the anodizing, and aluma candy painted it with 2 cans of gloss clear coat. i painted rear to front rails aluma pearl yellow, and the side rail candy red. looks pretty sick letting the gloss coat dry over night and in the 96 degree sun before i touch the thing. pics later.
