i grew up in arkansas, we lived in a small town so dad would take me out on the backroads and let me drive well before it was time for the test. back then you could get your learners at 13, and full at 16. they also had what is called a "hardship" license that allowed you to drive for stuff like school, after school stuff, or work at 13. they have since bumped it up to 18 for license!! i bought my first ride at 13 and was sneeking around the whole time i had the learners. took the driving test in my own ride to!

Here you have to be 18 to get a license. You also have to sit through a minimum of 10 hours of theory and 10 hours of driving with a licensed driving instructor.

Were it up to me the limit should be bumped up to 21. There are way to many kids out there who just got their license and go out and kill them selves and take others with them. Most are just not ready for the responsibility of driving something as dangerous as a car.

You don't need a license to drive. Just look at Alpinehyperlite..... (Please don't taze me.....) =devil

In Australia we have to display a L plate (not sure if you have to in America) and it makes you a massive target, everyone cuts you off, turns infront etc. Can be real dangerous
