Temps up in the 20's today, so I brought the savage in and got it warmed up. Took it out, only ran about a 1/4 tank, guess the duct tape around the head was too much. I ran great for a while around 240-250, then went up to 290. I could idle it to bring it back down, but that's no fun. Ran like a top though, whippin cheerios with a little powder on top of hard pack, ad cruisin up and down the road. Next time I'll strip a little tape off and give it another run. Maybe tomorrow even!

I know how you feel! I too took out my savage last week when we hit 30 degrees up in minnesota. Its a great feeling to drive it again after having to stare at it on the work bench for over a month! :hehe:
 
Luckily we dont have those problems of snow and temps here in south africa, here we just have the rain which you must watch out for and thats about it. i suppose running your savage in too high temps can also cause it run too hot. Gotta love the savage though
 
Got 2-3" of fresh snow overnight, might have to see if I can get a run in tonight.
 
i had mine out in the snow today, thing sounds and smells awesome, after racing electric indoors its great to hear and smell nitro burning :p
 
Too windy, got home too late, guess I'll have to take a shot at tomorrow.
