ok, so i recently aquired an aftershock which was pretty beaten up. i replaced the chassis rails and have some more kinks to work out.
1. today, the nut that tightens the slipper clutch stripped. i went to the local hardware store and bought an identical nut (6x32 nylon)............same thing happened. it tightens down to a point (not very far) then gives up and it'll just keep doing that not tighening down at all. Am I buying the wrong size or is the main input shaft stripped? Whats the correct nut to put on there?
2. the front left shock doesn't move smoothly at all. i took off the spring and bottom seal (where the shaft goes through) and tried moving it and it was still very stiff, like the diaphram didn't fit right. the front end was hit pretty good (bent the upper aluminum plate, snapped chassis rails) so i'm guessing that the shock body was bent enough to cause this extra friction. does this sound right?
3. the truck came with these wheels and i wanna know what tires I can put on there. I like the losi claws, but was curious what alternatives are out there.
someday I'll get to drive this thing
