I've been pretty busy and with the time change and drive from work I don't get home until way after dark. This means I've only had weekends to tinker with the Savy.
I put the 3-speed and reverse in last weekend and barely had 15-minutes to run the truck and make sure everything worked. I couldn't hear it shift but I didn't have time to really investigate.
I tried to run the Savy today and sure enough, I wasn't hearing it shift. I tried standing starts and low speed runs too.
According to the HPI Europe site instructions the 3-speed kit is setup for the S-25 with 40-series dog bone type tires (like the LE kit)...
So, since I've got the stock wheels and tires from the RTR I'm wondering if the shift points need to be tweaked. I don't want to rip the case apart a dozen times to turn the set screw, so I was hoping I could poll the site for everyone who is running the 3-speed and see what their's is set to.
I've got a K4.6 going in soon and I'd like to run 40 series wheels and tires down the road, but for now I'm just trying to get the 3-speed to shift with what I've got.
Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks guys!
