Well my tool box is starting to look a little beat up from use and abuse. Anyway i was wondering what would be a good durable paint to use and also what grit sand paper should i use to just do a once over and maybe a thin layer of primer?

I guess it's metal, and not plastic. If so, remove the rust and rough spots with a wire brush or wire wheel in a drill. Sand with 220 automotive wet/dry paper. Then 400. Any automotive primer will work fine. Paint it with Rustoleum. It's fuelproof.
I'll leave the choice of color to you.

alright thanx alot Rolex I'm gunna pick up my supplies tomarrow.

well if you beat it to hell see if you can get a quart of that "truck bed liner" paint from like Line X or Rhino liner. That might work and it wont rub off
