Hey fellas!

Got any suggestions on a semi decent radio system? I had my eyes set on a JR XS3, but i dont really want to spend the $200 on a radio system when I'm not all out in Rc'ing yet. I just ended up buying a MT2 18ss, since coming back into the hobby, but dont know what radio and servos i should get (of course 1 high torque is a necessity)! So any suggestions on a decent radio at a decent price? Thanks!

if your including servos in that 200 then go w/ a futaba 3pm and hitec hs645mg and hs625mg servos....all about 170 ish.......

The good thing about the XS3 (which I have) is if there are any channel conflicts, you can just switch the channel. If you want to go the same price route but not have ANY channel conflicts, go for the Spektrum DX3. Just flip it on and you're ready to go.

I have had both and needed more for racing so I got rid of the DX3 and went to a higher end model that allowed me to adjust and still have a DSM system. The DX3 comes with one standard servo and one high torque metal geared servo. Both of these systems are comprable in price.

My advice to you is to spend the extra cash and do away with crystals. You'll thank me later.

I'll second the synth system option. Even if you are not in need of DSM, get a synth Tx and Rx. I have the MX3-S and I have no conflict issues. If I get a glitch, it is usually due to metal to metal interference that I allowed to occur.
