Hello everyone! I've been doing alot of research on 1/8 scale buggies for racing and I'm having a hard time deciding.

I'm deciding between a Xray, associated rc8 and an Ofna.

What do you think? the cars all seem very similar to me. I know alot of guys around here race mugen and associated but I'm not paying the premium for the mugen.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Mugen is no more than the xray or losi (race not RTR). What kind of budget do you have for your setup (everything you will need) and have you considered a nice used one? A lot of guys in our area fall victim to the flavor of the month and you can get barely used rides at good prices!

I second the Hyper 8.5 great afordable buggy capable of winning any race in the right hands.

Thanks fellas for the advise, I have been fond of the Ofna buggies for a while. Jet mech I've been looking at used cars for a while on ebay but I'm just scared to get one because there are so many for sale. Ill keep lookn and let you guys know what I do. I like the Losi 8 I'm looking at those too.

you can find something locally. Watch CRCRC's board, there's a couple guys there that change buggies more than you probably change your skivies! :)
