I have heard that traxxas big bores are pretty much indestructible but they are 60 bucks but, its just a suggestion.
Considering you get 8 shocks and they are built really well, traxxas big bores are pretty much as good as you can get without going with 1/8 scale buggy shocks ($25-$40 a pair).

You get what you pay for for certain when it comes to shocks. Traxxas Big Bore shocks are awesome. I've had a few different type of shocks on my Maxx over the years and I've been the happiest with the Big Bores.
