i own a savage 4.6 and i got a cold glow plug and a hot glow plug, whats the difference?

No offense Chester, but this one explains it better: http://www.hooked-on-rc-airplanes.com/rc-glow-plugs.html

Put simply, it's about timing and how much heat the plug can retain in between strokes. The catalytic reaction is only part of the equation. A hot plug will fire sooner than a cold plug, which is basically the same as advancing the timing. I would suggest using a medium plug on a big block like yours, especially with 30% fuel....a medium hot plug will work good for 20%.
You will never need a cold plug.
