First off i know how to tune so I'm not running too lean. My problem is they just dont last. I am going on the plugs I am given by my lhc. 1 plug per tank....wth. My question is what range of heat should i run for a plug. I run o'donnells 30%. Even if i run em rich or run em lean they just go to sh*t.

If the engine has a few gallons on it, the bearings and/or rod may be worn. The piston may have cracked. If it is a new engine, you are running it too hard. Wait until there is no mechanical pinch left with the glow plug removed...then you tune for max power.

the coil seems to just break in half. Kinda white colored. not jammed or gone.

Which of your 3 cars are you talking about, what engine, fuel, brand of plug......SOME LHS's will sell you whatever glow plugs they can make the most profit off. Your Traxxas engines, if this is what your fighting. They are finicky little bastards, especially with the stock clutch and the poopy air filters they include. The Losi 8 ir filter may fit it, this a good one. The only two plugs that held up in my 3.3 and 2.5r were the Traxxas super duty or heavy duty and the O'Donnell's hot plugs.
White means you are really lean. I have seen hundreds of Traxxas owners fight this battle. BTW TRaxxas fuel is good weed killer, nothimg more.
What worked for me was Trinity MHP 30% fuel with the above plugs. A good 1/8th scale air filter, I used the Motorsaver Air Filter designed for the Revos. Also used a THS exhaust for the car, great pipe. After I installed this pipe system it ran much better and the pipe never needed any attention. The stock exhaust leaks and cracks easily.
All the above you can get from towerhobbies. The last thing I used which was one of the best mods is a medium compound al. 2 shoe clutch conversion kit from www.m2cracing.com. The engine could idle without the wheels spinning unlike the stock clutch. This makes setting the LSN next too impossible. The m2c clutch lasts a long time, runs cooler and it has 10X better engagement.

This is my revo, and i run 30% o'donnells fuel. My hobby center told me yesterday that I should be running a cold plug. I think they are full of sh*t.

They are, 3.3's need hot plugs.
The rod or bearings may be worn. Check it closely.
