Hi there my tmaxx is going through glow plugs like there's no tomorrow and I don't know why their not lasting more than 15 minutes on average so any help would be appreciated thanks.

Or possibly running the other way (too rich) and fouling them out. Also where are you located as the weather plays with these finickey motors and if its colder than normal you may need a hotter plug to burn hotter and ignite the fuel more efficiently.

I had the exact same problem a few days ago. I COOKED about 4 glow plugs in about a quarter of a tank. I took the engine off and apart (all the way down to the crank coming out) all while taking care to notice anything not seated properly, loose screws, metal shavings, sheared screws, etc. 'Air leak', I was thinking. I thought briefly about doing the submersion test, but I've never been too keen on the idea of dunking my engine in water. After finding no visual causes for alarm and re-tuning the carb to factory settings while it was off the engine, I put the engine back together as normal. The thing runs like a CHAMP now. I don't know what the issue was. Weather it was some phantom air leak that I unknowingly addressed or a piece of dirt somewhere in the engine that was knocked free or God know what else. Long story short, a quick disassembly/clean/reassembly has worked for me more times than I can count (3 times on 3 peoples trucks last weekend alone). I would just give that a shot. Instead of guessing about what the problem COULD be on your engine, take it apart and make sure everything is perfect. Then you know for sure. "I know for a fact it's not this. I guarantee it's not that". When it's all said and done you'll end up with 1 or 2 "it could be this". It seems to save downtime for me. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. Good luck.

if you are still having problems with it try O.S LC3 Hot plugs i use them summer and winter and have never had a problem with them

I like what AirwingUSMC said. I think he is in the ball park and like he said you may just need to take the motor down and seal it while you have it down. There may be a piece of something in the engine making you go through glow plugs because it's hitting the filiment. Or you may have a air leak around the carb neck or back plate making your engine lean out which will blow a glow plug fast. If you don't want to do that try setting your needle's back to factory which will be super rich and retune and leave it a little rich and see if your still blowing glow plugs. You will knwo then if you have a air leak cause even at rich settings your motor will lean out and blow the glow plug.
