OK Sooooo whats the big deal with the different types of Glow plugs???

HOT...COLD...LONG...SHORT...TURBO....w/idlebar...w/o idlebar...

Then there are the numbers...7...8...50...A3...A5...F...R5...R7...TP7

WTF MAN!!!!! I'm confused.

I currently own 5 #7 COLD plugs and have no idea why. When I bought my car the guy at the LHS just threw them into the box. So thats what I've been using.

Can someone explain please.....my LHS has been less than helpfull lately.

for the rossi mill - u should only use A3 non-turbo plugs by OS. the rossi plugs are built diferently, and for some reason, most glow starters wont stay on, i learned this the hard way. the number at the end designates the heat. colder plugs are better for smaller engines, as they tend to eliminate predetonation. a turbo plug is tapered so that it intrudes less into the combustion chamber - u cannot use these. the A5 's will work, but dont go any higher than that.

Rossi?? I Currently only have a Ofna force .12 Red Head....

So...the higher the number the hotter the plug?
