That will work but I would use a amp to push thoses 6x9- that headunit does not put out enough power and the speakers will distort when turned up at high volumes, What kind of truck do you have.

I wouldnt go with a Kenwood deck. I have one in my truck, which I paid just under $600 for, and I dont like it AT ALL. I kick myself for selling my $400 Pioneer deck that the kenwood couldnt come close to holding a candle too. I owned 2 kenwood decks (thinking the 1st one I got was just a bad one) and hated both of them. Plus they like to scratch cds for some reason. So I'm thinkign if my $600 one sucks, I can only imagine what a $130 one would be like. Check out Pioneer units. Best Cd player for the buck I think. Also remember that you can have AWESOME speakers with a cheap deck and its going to sound like crap. But you can have midiocre speakers with a awesome deck and its going to sound awesome. So Id spend the most on the deck. Thats the main part. Also I wouldnt do kenwoods in for the highs either. I've also had them and they popped 3 times (good customer service though. Sent me new sets when the other ones popped). Check out Infinity Kappas Or MB Quarts for the highs. Awesome speakers. Just some helpful advice.

I was looking at the Kenwood Keg....do they suck too....it's the 10Gig Harddrive setup for your car...

Go with infinity or mb quart, kenwood isn't the best for the bang,i would rather go with pyramid than kenwood.

I used a very nice pioneer for a year in my other car. Was nearly perfect. I would also recommend something that can play mp3's, then you can store 200 songs on one cd! I wish I could put something else in my new car, but the climate controls are integrated with it.

What kind of car is it ? there is alot of kits that people don't know about.

I have installed the keg, and no they do not suck, My customer was happy and till this day has not complained about it, Pertty soon alot of big manufactor will be doing it, Pioneer was really the first to do it, It was buil into there head unit.

the one I was looking at was like a 40gig HD that pulled out of a dock station, but it won't work like a remote CD player...meaning you can't add that unit to just any head unit.....it has to be a kenwood head......what else is made like that....I have a ton of music on my PC and I pretty much ony listen to MP3s....I still buy CDs but I rip em the first time I play em......my PC is set to do it automatically....

Concider a Alpine,if your going to throw some cash out there, then i would recomend a Alpine 9853,it's MP3/wma,has bass engine pro, remote, and it's freaking awesome,my dad bought one for his birthday.http://www.crutchfield.com/S-7mTVj2TidC4/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=500CDA9853&search=alpine

I would also look into a small subwoofer that can handle power, and skip one of the set's of speakers,or mount a set in door and dash, but I'm sure that's overkill,if you don't have a sub it won't quite sound as nice.kicker make's some small 8's,so does xtant and mtx, just remeber you can build a custom box to accept a good woofer, just don't use bazooka, there horrible sounding and not worth it,Fosgate is Ok,Mtx is better,I've heard cerwin vega is nice, kicker's are inefficient but they can handle a decent amount of watts over there rms,Infinity are nice.If you could fit it http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13946 that would be the way to go.

that's about what the Kenwood setup costs but it's not a CD player that's remotely mounted......there is a 40 gig hard drive you just take it out plug your PC into it and dump 40 gigs of music into it......I've got maybe 25gigs so I'd be able to just have all the same music go w/ me everywhere...it's better than your own personal radio station....

I had an Alpine deck and it was awesome. Now I have a Pioneer and it is pretty damn good. I have some ok speakers, but with the Pioneer deck they sound very good. I also have some Kenwood subs, and IMO they are very nice. I have two 12'' Kenwood subs and a Kenwood 800W amp and they sound damn good. I never had a Kenwood deck, but if I got a new deck right now, I'd get the Alpine Got Nitro? linked to. The Pioneer is very good for the price, but Alpine is a bit nicer IMO.

The alpine trully is,I'm tempted to steal it from my dad,it has glide setting's,clear visual,i hate my dad for not buying 2

I dont know if Id go THAT far, but yeah theres definatly better options than Kenwood. Its weird because some companies make stuff that is totally awesome, but then other things might totally blow. Like Pioneer Decks are awesome, but I wouldnt run any of there woofers. Sony makes good recievers and stuff for home audio, but there whole car audio stuff sucks.Kicker Subwoofers kick major ass, but there amps are midiocre. So your best bet is to take the mismatch brands. Take the best from each company. Id go with a Pioneer Deck, Mb Quart or Infinity highs, Infintiy or Alpine 6x9's, Alpine or even a Rockford amp, and some kicker subs. Thatd be a nice setup and wouldnt totally drain your cash flow. Be sure to check out Ebay for some audio stuff. Alot of wholesalers are on there and sell the stuff very cheap. Crutchfield is cheaper than alot of audio stores but still preatty spendy.

I hear a lot of people dissing the sony stuff.....to someone like me who isn't going to stick the thing on a computer analyzer, what is it that makes Sony suck???....I'm not blasting my stuff so the people in Cuba can hear it.....

this post wasn't meant as a slam, I'm just curious what makes Sony suck to alot of you car audiophiles

Sub- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13996

Sub amp- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14802

Componets- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=15366

Component amp- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13285

Head Unit- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14966

This would be a ultimate system drivin with a poop load of power, most of it can be down graded if price is too high, but it's a starting point pending on what you want to spend.$1131 shipped, not including wires and a sub box, that would definatlly let people know you have stereo equipment, and it would be really loud and probablly out do some retards that drive around in beater hondas sporting audiobahn.

Sony's low quality, they could do better, amps are lame, subs could do better, don't get me started on speakers, there home stuff is decent though, they just can't pull off and good car audio.

I have basically this same system. My deck though is last years model. But i have to alpine Components in the doors, and two kicker 8inch L7's inder the back seat, and a kicker 850 watt amp. This system sounds great, and i haven't heard any better sound quality than alpine. Good luck shopping, and anything after market will sound better than stock.
