When I first got into the hobby, I started off with the FT NTC3. I was starting from scratch just as you, GADawgs. I just went with an OS .12CV-Rx since it was my first nitro and I needed to start somewhere; Futaba Magnum Jr (75 FM) and accompanying electronics inclurded with radio;Plus misc such as body, glow ignitor, fuel, plugs ... My bill came out to just over $700. This was with bare minimum purchases. Once you start getting into higher end radios, servos and engines, you'll get spanked pretty hard. Italian engines run at least $250 and up; Top end radio's are the same; Servo's of very good quality (digital, coreless and speed) will be around $100 ... This is all before you start hopping up the FT chassis/kit.
If you're goingto be running in the park, you can get away with lower priced tickets but once you start racing, quality and price go hand in hand.
Mainly because I am gonna get a serious outlaw engine and throw on a Lola body on my serpent and take her to see what damage I can cause. LOOK out!

Last I counted at the track (last sunday), I saw 3 engines in my stable. One in the car, and 2 spares ... Yup, I have a serious problem!CorradoPsi said:you have that problem too diver?
