Alot of people would get discouraged with buying one of these piles of poop to buy another one.. Noobs tend to think the faster a rc goes, the better it is, so with these clowns advertising 80mph, they probably think its a awesome setup, so they might think all rc's are poop like this.

Yes, these things are crap. People dont get the concept of "getting what you pay for."

So two solid tanks is alot of time?

It was a BIG tank.

Still they may be crap, and they may be hard to fix, but, they are really great at teaching someone without a "mentor" or access to the web or a ride to the LHS. Pick one of em up at a bazzar or some other place and learn it yourself.

That's the way I learned, I really don't regret buying it.

I agree with aj200415 that wasn't very nie

Isn't there a maple tree you should be tapping for syrup or something?

My point to posting this is simple; no way a RTR for $155.00 is going to hit 60 MPH right out of the box...PERIOD! I hate seeing people advertise this stuff with a hundred caveats stating that if the wind is right, the sky is clear, the surface perfectly smooth and that some fat woman named Martha is pushing it, then it'll go 60 MPH! Folks new to the hobby don't want caveats!

If you happened to have cut your teeth on something like this and stayed in the hobby, kudos to you because you are the exception! I know of several folks locally that got something like this and it ended up in the dumpster! They still get pissed when I take my Savage or NTC3 out because they know I was right, you get what you paid for. I'm out, like today, bashing around the yard with my Savage in the nice weather and they're picking their noses!

I can think of better things to work on. Once ya get this fixed, its still a piece of poop. At least if there wrenching on something name brand, they wont have a piece of poop when there done fixing it.

I hate it worse when people buy the stuff and brag that it goes's 60mph.. Thats what REALLY burns me.. Buy a clue..

Somebody send me one of these and I GUARANTY I will post a video of it doing 80MPH. It just has to have wheels. I will do some secret ancient Ninja tuning technique to get it to that speed.

Well, if you really want ot know the truth, Ebay is big about false advertising. These things have been on the market for years now, and they are still selling well enough to keep the people interested.

It may not do 80, but it very well may do 60 or a bit higher. it all depends on the driver, then tune and the skill involved. The one I got actually ran pretty fast. I never radared or anything, but I know that when I hit that curb WOT it broke completely in half and threw the engine a few yards. Granted, the manufactuiring method may be a bit outdated or on the cheap side, but when you really think about it, it is just what you are going to get if you buy a more expensive, name brand model. The only thing is you may have an easier time finding the name replacement parts, simply because they aren't made in Japan.

Tweak your killin' me man.. 60mph?? Dont you think that if these did that, that other companies (Like good ones) would get on the boat and do what they are doing? Also dont ya think that if they did do that, that the pro's would be stock piling these? poop at $160 a pop, if they got 2 races out of them, they could just toss them and get another.. Id have to see it with my own eyes to believe that one of these did over 50mph, let alone 60. I still wouldnt even believe it if I saw it go 80..lol

Now this sounds like a fun sport; smartech engine tossing! :green-grin:

Lol. It was pretty fun, and the best thing? i knew I had only spent around 150 bucks and had a hell of a time while doing it.

I have to call BS on that, no way will one of these go anywhere near 60, slightly over 60, let alone 80. At best these may hit 35, downhill, with the wind, maybe. These are cheaply made knock off junk with close to no parts availablity, that imo will turn more people away from the hobby than on to the hobby.

Next thing you know they will be claiming the monster truck can pull a real truck, uphill, with a load of bricks in the back of the real truck. That's just about as believable as these choads going 60-80 mph :ahem:

Dude, you're forgetting how lean the engine runs from all the air leaks (if it runs at all). Anything running that lean has to run like a scalded cat. :jet:

LMAO!

But really, the only way that rig is going to hit those speeds is if you throw it out of your car while doing 80 on the highway.

This goes back to an old saying I once heard.... A fool and his money will soon part.

The fact that they are still "selling" is because they false advertise and like a friend of mine who bought one... he just plain didn't know any better. The moral of the story is that if you do your homework... you would never end up with one of these.. period.
