Hi

SPUR GEARS 70 tooth = What ? 72 tooth = What ?

Clutch bell : Less tooth = What ? More tooth = What ?

Top speed or Acceleration.

Thank you

the closer the number of teeth are in relation to each other the more top speed and less acceleration. example: 66T spur; 17T cb
the further away the numbers in relation to each other the less top speed and more acceleration. example: 72T spur; 13T cb

driven(trans gear teeth)/drive(clutchbell teeth)= gear ratio (the higher the more acceleration)

sorry for the math

So if I take SG 70T and 22T cb, it will be top speed.

I'm assuming that your asking if it will have more top speed. Well, that will depend on what you are changing it from. Any gear ratio will have a top speed. If you want more top speed you either need to use a cb will more teeth or a spur with less teeth, or a combination of both.

Ok, Now I got it, less teeth on Spur and More on Clutch bell, this will give MORE top speed. Aight ! Thank you

Keep in mind that it's easy to overgear an engine. If you have a lower power engine and you gear it for high top speed, expect to wear out a clutch or overheat your engine frequently.

Just food for thought.
