the closer the number of teeth are in relation to each other the more top speed and less acceleration. example: 66T spur; 17T cb
the further away the numbers in relation to each other the less top speed and more acceleration. example: 72T spur; 13T cb
I'm assuming that your asking if it will have more top speed. Well, that will depend on what you are changing it from. Any gear ratio will have a top speed. If you want more top speed you either need to use a cb will more teeth or a spur with less teeth, or a combination of both.
Keep in mind that it's easy to overgear an engine. If you have a lower power engine and you gear it for high top speed, expect to wear out a clutch or overheat your engine frequently.
