i was just wondering how much more top end you get when you have a small spur and a bigger clutch bell.
i was runing 18/49 gearing but i have just got a 19/47 how much more mph/kph do you think you get?

It depends on if your engine can push it. I know my engine runs hot with anything over 15/52 gearing and I don't get wheelies when gearing any taller than 15/52. It's an aftermarket engine, but it's pretty dependable.

i run in an wide open space with very short grass a still have the .25 in my savage i have taken shims out of it aswell hopfuly it will move if it doesn't i will put 15/47 dut just say it did move how much more top end will i have?
any ideas.
hopfuly the 3 speed will be here on 4 april that will add more power to move it.

Here's the ratio difference.

18/49=2.72
19/47=2.47
That is a big jump.A stock s-25 will have major trouble trying to pull a gear the high.My modified s-25 pulls 20/47 pretty strong..

Running 18/49 and 19/47 in grass with a stock S-25 is not really a great move. That gearing is too tall and I doubt your motor will pull top RPM in the grass with it.

You actually might go faster in the grass with 15/49.
