Hey, this isnt really a gear mesh problem, its more of a gear allignment prob. Well I just noticed today that my pinion and spurs are only really contacting halfway. Hard to explain, but its really simple; its like my engine needds to be pushed forward a bit because it looks like there isnt a lot of contacting between the two. Once again this isnt the gear mesh, its just an allignment prob.. I took out my engine and tried to push it forward but it wont let me, and I reinstalled my spur but the allignment is still off.. could someone please help.

Thanks

I remember seeing that on someone's car several years ago. I'm not sure about your particular car, but I believe his required a spacer in the clutch bell to bring it forward.
You might also see if you can get an adjustment out of the motor mount.

That seems to be fairly typical. My aftershock has the same issue.

If you really want to fix it, you need to shim the flywheel away from the engine. But, since the entire flywheel/clutch/bell assembly is so long, you will need to get a crankshaft extender of sorts that the outer CB bearing can ride on.

I haven't really done anything about it on my aftershock. I put an extra shim or two behind the bearing that sits next to the flywheel nut, but there isn't much space to be gained without the extender.

The "extender" are the two shiny things in the upper right had corner of this photo:

This is a link to the shim kit with that extender:
