I've seen people remove the battery box off their truck and mount a 5 cell hump pack in front of the front shock tower. They then have the room to mount the fuel tank from a Nitro Vee boat. The tank from a nitro Vee I believe holds 200 cc of fuel and is supposed to eliminate the half tank lean condition that T-Maxx tanks are said to have.. I haven't tried this yet tho. Has Anyone else tried this?

This is the ofna tank mod, it's probably one the best way's I've seen the tank mounted.

You can buy the proline tank, but i have not heard anything good about it. To eliminate the leaning issue, just cut your infeed fuel tubing long enough to wrap around the rear shock tower a couple of times so that if you flip over there will be enough fuel in the longer tubing to keep it running until you can flip it over.

Similar to this?

And yes it does increase run time with the 3.3, With the Picco on board though, the runtime is similar to stock times with the 3.3. The half tank lean is greatly improved IMO. The reason for this is that this tank has a uniform shape from top to bottom.

Yes rak12, That is exactly what i'm talking about. How do you go about mounting the Nitro-Vee tank to the chassis, once the battery box is removed? I forgot to check my LHS for that tank, but I'm planning to do that in the next few weeks.

At first, as pictured I only used double stick tape (the gray stuff by 3M) for testing purposes. Once I felt it would work well, I drilled 2 holes into the chassis and zip tied it down, I kept the double stick in place, however nitro will probabl;y loosen the tape over time. I'll try to post more current pics tomorrow.

Ok but what about the revo tank will that fit ? And it 150 cc do they make a tank that I don't have to mod any thing just put it where the stock one goes and leave my battery pack in the same place where the factory puts it at

Yea, Proline makes the runtime tank that fits in the stock position. But like others have said, it is junk. I wouldn’t use it again even it if it were free.

i went the Traxxas site. found the nitro vee boat tank #3548x cost $15.00. but no pics. he number for the boat 3610. some of the boats have some interesting parts and acc.
