How long untill Nitro goes bad?

I got a gallon of Sidewinder 20% with my car when I bought it. My buddy said he got the gas last august. The gas has been indoors and the cap on tight the entire time. Is there a chance the gas has gone bad?

I broke in my savage on VP 20%. Can I switch to the sidewinder and use it all and then switch back to VP or should I just stick to VP?

I wasn't inpressed with my sidewinder fuel, switched to top fuel and it has alot more power, and holds tune alot easier

Reverse what JBradshaw said and you have my results. I was using the race blend though. Top Fuel ran like crap in my engines, wont touch that blend again.

Your fuel will still be good to go. it has stayed in a stable environment, good to use yet!

Maybe each motor is different, I had Sidewinder 20%/12% and it would do good after taking forever to tune it but wouldnt hold the tune, the 20% top fuel is the best for my 2.5 I think, it has ran waay better since I switched.

So would it be safe to switch fuels on a Savage 25 after break-in if they are the same %?

You can switch fuels, just remember you'll probably have to retune a little. I usually squeeze the air out my jugs of fuel before putting the insert cap back on and then the screw in cap and they stay fine for me.

everyone has different opinions with fuels ,top fuel works excellent for me ,byrons works good in my onroads ,S&W fuel works good but very high on oil content like 18% ,wildcat used it in a pinch never had a problem, duratrax fuels used it no problems, but i just thrash and bash but always had good temps unless my tuning fails me lol
as for your fuel like thye stated if it was in a stable place and the cap was on shouldnt be any problems ,mine sat under my workbench in my duffle bag since last fall and no problems,1/2 gallon i think
just me but if i buy fuel and the jug is clear i have a cpl traxxas top fuel cans laying here i transfer it into them to keep them out of the sun ,,
