This game is going to get ugly folks.... OLD TIME HOCKEY...
A MUST SEE...
Channel 4 (NBC)

Old time hockey! Ogie Ogelthorpe, the young man's deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him!

Yeah, it's a vicious one already and the 1st period isn't even over yet!

I dont care what anyone says, Hockey is most definately one of the top 3 toughest sports, mentally & definately physically...
Baseball players are WAY OVERPAID...:\

Wow! What was that, 5 seconds on the power play? DAMN!!!!

I agree, Imbroken. I joined an adult hockey league this Spring and it's been years since I've played and I am just flat drained after every game and we are light years away from the quality and speed of play these guys are showing!

AH crap! Big thunder storm is rolling in! I hope I don't lose my dish!

22yr old "Rookie" Cam Ward gets the Con Smythe (MVP) & the Stanley Cup...
That's just awesome...

Who won? Might be dumb but who was playing? I dont follow hockey. I dont think I ever watched a full game before. Its fun to play though.

All professional players are overpaid in my opinion.

4u2nv... Carolina Hurricane's won. It was one hell of a series.

Watching these guys play was like watching the US olympic team from 80.

Carolina Hurricanes vs. Edmonton Oilers. Probably one of the best Cup series I've seen in many years! Those guys, both teams, played their guts out all 7 games and Cam Ward getting the MVP trophy was the topper! Man, that guy is unbelievable between the pipes!

Funny you mention the Miracle Team, Tom. The announcers mentioned it a couple times throughout the game!

Andy, you live in flippin' Minnesota and don't follow hockey? You tool! Do the citizens of MN know that about you, because if they did, I'd think they'd beat you with a used puck bag!

I wish I could have seen last nights game. I was still feeling rather ill last night and the Nyquil kicked in before the game started. I did get to see some highlights via ESPN today. I wish I could have seen the entire game. You are right about it being a fight to the end series for both teams. I mean most of those guys were in their 30's playing like teens. Great game those guys played their guts out.

Its them damn canadians man.. They shove that poop down our throats..lol.. Nah for some reason I just never picked up on it. I played it alot as a youngster but that was about it. Honestly I dont think I've watched more than 5 minutes of Hockey since Gretzky days. I think I have a old Kings hat around here.. Does that count? :ponder2:

I have to say, in all honesty, one of the recurring highlights of the entire series was how both the American and Canadian fans handled themselves overall. I thought it was very classy that both sets of fans stood and refrained from making collective asses out of themselves during "O Canada" and "The Star-Spangled Banner". Should a lot of mutual respect and I, for one, appreciated it!

Now, if those bonehead World Cup fans would get the hint...
