Which radio would you choose? 2pl or jr xr2i

Both have something the other does not have. and the reason I want one of these is cuz these seem to be the best 27 am radios I can find. I have 27 am recievers in my cars currently and I dont want to buy new recievers unless I go with synthesized, and since synthesized is going to cost me about 300 just for the rx's, I thought I would just go with one of these untill I can afford all synthesized.

so far I like futaba cuz it has a 10 model memory and abs( how much do you guys use abs). and I like the xr2i cuz it has A LOT more features and really looks a lot better too, not that it really matters much.

For right now, I'm just bashing around where I can find space, but there will be a local track up soon, and I plan to race competetively if my wallet allows it.

which would you guys choose?

Dude three hundred dollars?? How many cars do you have homeboy. Honestly If I were you I would not buy a JR radio unless it's the one that you really want. I thought about going with a cheep setup as well. However when it boiled down to it it just kept saying the XS3 for me. I dunno I don't see the point of doing it twice and spending the money twice. The XS3 comes with one receiver so you are good there. Than you only have to purchase two more. Honestly for the cost of those You should just go XS3 but that's my opinoin. Out of the two you have listed I would choose the JR radio though. I just like them better than futaba anymore.

I got 3 cars. and one coming soon. Yeah your right, maybe I should hold out and go synthesized on all my cars, but just imagine the price. One Tx and three Rx, it will be a lot.

You don't have to get a synthesied receiver for all your cars. You can just use a regular receiver w/ a crystal. Let everyone else hop on the synthesized bandwagon. That way, if you do run into a channel conflict, no big deal, they can just change their channel (since they are synthesized).

Seriously though, you should wait till you get your $$$$ straight. It's not worth it to buy something small & then upgrade to something bigger a couple of months later.

You say you have 3 cars, so I assume you have 3 radios. Sell all three of them (say $20 a piece). That will give you $60 towards upgrading to a new radio system.

Or if you really want to upgrade now & can't wait. You should also check out the KO Propo EX-11 Presto 27MHz (only $99).

It comes fully loaded:
---three car model memory
---digital display screen
---digital proportional system
---adjustments for steering travel
---steering balance
---speed curve
---sub trim throttle high point
---brake travel
---traction control
---ABS

and much more.
