Says it’s waterproof. Yeah, you might get wet 💦
6-8.4V @7A - the specs say 6-7.4 volt but, in the app it actually has 6v, 7.6v, and 8.4v. The cooling fan confirms voltage with the appropriate increase in jet engine noise 😎 🙄

I have ran Hobbywing, Tekin, Furitek, and other miscellaneous stock electronic brands.
The 3 I named are really good, I haven’t had any issues with Tekin or Hobbywing, and the Furitek app is decent when it connects. The connection is retarded in my scx24, but the esc itself is great.
I was looking for some race grade chit, packed with tunable features like the Cayote RS80 or another Tekin.
The Cayote is a 2s limit, and the company never replied to my 2 or 3 emails with some questions about the product. Even with a Black Friday discount, it just wasn’t the best bang for the buck.
Wasn’t a good price point on Tekin either.
Hobbywing had some bargains going but I have never tried a Furitek in a car… 🤨
The Dominator checks the boxes I am looking for 🤷‍♂️ 👍

The first thing I will do is open this up and get rid of this switch that is begging to break already.

Yea right, I couldn’t split the case. There’s too much jelly holding this bugger together!
Settled for the stubby look.

Double wrap it

Just add spark.

So far, the features on this thing are legit. If you had a 1/10 drag car, this would be the go-to esc for $100. Most of the timing or boost settings refer to drag racing.

I had to pull up a Tekin manual to see what brake/throttle frequencies did, as well as certain turbo settings and the hall sensor stuff. It does have a blinky mode.
There is no manual on this thing so, just like furitek's app, you have to do some research on what these settings really do. Furitek is lame in that regard. Thanks for placing features in your esc's with absolutely NO information on what they do. There are some videos out there that will help.

Good info, thanks!
You bet.
There are literally ZERO reviews on this thing so.... maybe I will put one out there in a video? My Youtube game isn't very strong, I need a good hot mic and another camera to get some decent content going for on-the-bench reviews. Youtube also takes A LOT of work, and I just don't have that kind of time.

Here we have it. Either we are not water proof (minimal snow was involved) or, this thing was built like dog poop.

If you can’t smell it from there, a motor wire bullet and a battery terminal unsoldered themselves.
The furitek app said we were at 145 degrees with temp checks confirming nothing to be afraid of on both esc and motor.
The test vehicle is the rlaarlo xts f10.
What a let down.

The more I think about this, the more I wonder how hot did this thing really get and where does the app read temps from? I didn't have my temp gun handy, and both motor and esc felt the same temp relatively. This is my first experience with some connections unsoldering themselves. Could the motor I was using really pull more current than what this could provide? How did it not shut down on a thermal safety?
I have submitted a return request through Amain and also reached out to furitek to get this resolved. If this is what furitek looks like for 1/10 non-crawler stuff, then I'm looking the other way. I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am in this "top tier" brand.
