hey,
my friend wants to know if using blue thunder fule 20% in his revo will be ok. does anyone know?

and another thing is it 1/10 scale or 1/8

and is the savage much bigger? cuz the revo looks huge.

i have to wait till x-mas for my savage... :(

thanks- :hammer:

If he is useing a traxxas engine tell him he should use traxxas fuel but i used blue thunder in my maxx and it ran fine.

Any fuel should be fine, just find the one that runs the best with your engine.

The Revo is 1/10 and the Savage is 1/8. I have not seen a Revo in person but the the Savage is a big ass truck. It sits higher than a Revo, and is bigger than a Revo i would assume.

The Savage is a larger truck. It sits taller then the Revo. I'm unsure of the length and width.
Revo is a .15 and the Savage is a .21 or larger.

Use fuel that is easy to get. BT will work just fine.

All I have run through my REvo is Blue Thunder, except when StrechM gave me some Odonnel @ the West Coast Bash to run with. No problems here. Actually now that I think of it I am running Monster Brew right now lol. I mostly ran Blue Thunder and have had no issues. I ran Blue Thunder in my T-Maxx 2.5 also. Both racing and sport formulas.

I went to my LHS today and saw a Revo and a Savage almost right next to each other. The Revo is big, and you can tell that the Savage is a good size bigger...not huge, but impressive. As far as fuel, my LHS doesn't carry 20% Top Fuel, just 33%, so I bought 20% Sidewinder fuel. Suppose to be really good stuff. :jet:

On the manufacturer's website, under dealer info., they have a picture of two of the guys who work at my LHS with a quote saying that you can't buy a better fuel at any price. We shall see when I get my Revo on Thursday :D .

I have one Revo. The size specifications is the same as Savage. Tires are bigger on the revo such is big joe.
Length, width, and so on are 1/8 but scale sign is 1/10. I do not why, but I thing because Revo is using smaller engine: .15 cubic inches such another 1/10 models.
But dont worry, this engine have 1.33 horse power and revo is albe to do wheelies.
More small engine can run on smaller % of nitro. Smaller engine uses smaller fuel tank, smalelr engine have smaller consumption. So, smaller engine save your many because 16% nitro fuel is not expensive as 25% nitro fuel for .21 and bigger engines. Smaller capacity of sleeve save money again, because consumption is samller. Smaller consumption = smaller fuel tank.
And you can belive me, this stock engine TRX25R is very powerful and you will get a lot of fun with it.
If this engine is not acceptable for you, you can sell him and buy big block conversion kit to get opportunity to use bigger engine such is HPI Nitro Star .25 which is in Savage SS.
My friends have savages (here is more savages than revos) but the confrontation we do not do in this moment, but we plan to make comparsions at the track.

Question is, if you really need more power. I am not racer, I am basher and RC truck trial driver and .15 in the Revo is adequate.

I am using Graupner Titan RS16 with 16% nitro. This is syntetic fuel with 4% ricine (castor oil). And it is going very good and fast. This fuel is accessible in Europe.
