what fuel do you guys recommend! i have been using traxxas top fuel 20%. its about 28 bucks at my local hobby store. i was wondering if there is any other good brand out there that might be a little cheaper. also i always wondered why traxxas made different percentage fuel grade. why is that? and why is it that i can't go to 33% if i broke in with 20%? how long with the fuel will be good for if not using for a long period of time? thanks

You can switch nitro % anytime after break-in. A lot of people will suggest you stick with whatever % you broke in with, but I know people have switched after break in. The higher percentage nitro is harder on the engine but will give you better performance. I ran one gallon of Top Fuel on my Revo then switched to O'Donnels, I think it's a much better fuel. Traxxas is somewhat cheaper at my LHS, about $5 a gallon. But I can say after running another brand of fuel, I can see why so many people don't like Top Fuel..........and I'll never go back to it. so do you add the whole quart of racing oil to the five gallon or how much do you add for a five gallon?

No not the entire quart its like 5oz. for a gallon fasterdenu has the measurement we came up with. its just to bring the oil percent up to that of 20% nitro. So you get higher nitro percentage and still get the lubrication.

I run trinity monster horsepower 20% I love it. Its also about 30-35 bucks a gallon. I think sidewinder is cheaper but i have never ran it.
