Hi I'm new to using Nitro cars and would to know what fuel do i use for my g70362 nx-3.0 nitro engine?

many thanks

Odonnell's and Byron's are probably my top two picks out of the stuff I've used. I'm not a big fan of sidewinder but its better than traxxas fuel IMO. I use 30% whatever the brand. i hear torco and VP are real good too but never used those yet.

I've ran sidewinder traxxas top fuel and torco and torco is my fav hands down my trucks run great on it. and without a hobby shop close by 4 gallons for 113 bucks shipped is hard to beat 36 a gallons shipped. torco is also made by the guys that produce fuel for the dragsters that run almost 400 mph so I dont think they would risk their name with a bad unproven product just for rc cars. traxxas is my leasr fav out of any fuel tho it has way to much oil imo

i was thinking of using optifuel but I'm not sure what the percentages mean or what percentage i can use with my engine I'm a complete beginner so have absolutly no idea what it all means ?????????????

I personally never heard of optifuel. Honestly I prefer VP fuel but Byrons fuel is the most popular. Odonnells and Nitrotane arent bad either but I would recommend either of the first two I mentioned. As far as percentage goes, the percentage is the amount of nitro and oil in the fuel. If your in the hobby for racing (inculdes bashing too) run either 25% or 30% nitro. Oil mixture varies by company so if you ever switch fuel brands, stick as close to the percentage of nitro and oil mixture you had previously run as possible for longer engine life (unless you have a new engine it doesn't matter what you choose as long as you stick with it if possible.) If your just into the hobby for bashing get no less than 20% nitro. Whatever fuel you use to break in the engine with is what your engine typically runs best with. If you start at 20% and want to switch to a higher percentage of nitro you may do so (note engines run hotter with higher mixture of nitro which means you would have to retune and watch your temps very closely so you get the right mixture and your engine to run at the correct temp.)

Also a little hint. A lot of people who get into the hobby think that its best to use the least amount fuel line possible. That is not true. The longer your fuel line the better. With short fuel line your engine will 99% of the time shut off and youll have to restart it. The longer the line you have the longer it will stay running upside down (very crucial for racing.) That doesn't mean you should go all out with the line either. Also before you run it for the first time I highly recommend getting a fuel filter if you dont already have one. Also make sure to clean your air filter all the time. I race and clean my air filter in between each race.

I just started running a fuel called Black ops it seems to run very well. I only run 20% in the Black ops race blend. Unfortunate for me its all my semi local hobby shop carries. I really liked Odonnell just can not any longer find it here.

I'm personally really iffy running off brand anything especially fuel. Thats a bummer you can't get any of the name brand fuel. Unfortunately you can't order fuel online either. Talk about a lose lose situation.

you can order fuel online by the quart from a variety of sites. torco is the only fuel I've found u can buy online in a gallon tho. I get torrco off ebay and amazon 4 gallons at a time

I run black ops protekk (purple ) 20% and it has been very well.
