At sometime I’ve seen a stainless steel or aluminum fuel tank on this site. Does someone know where it is at? Looked everywhere can’t remember where it is.I know it was a www site :D

Its made by SlimeLine R/C Products and I know you can buy it from http://www.hobbyshopnj.com along with a few other places I'm sure.

You may want to ask Chris where he purchased his.

What is the chance of it fitting on the savage? My major problem is how to mount it. Will the tank guard fit ?

I have not seen this tank in person, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't fit the savage w/o some kind of mods.

Though again I'd recommend you to Chris as he does have this tank and would be better suited to help you.

Ur right Christian did put a link for the slimline billet gas tank. I tried finding it but no luck. If u go to Woodie's link, it is the same tank and price as the one Christian put up. Hope this helped.

This is what ur looking for.

Thats the tank but it wont fit on a Savage :(

Not without some MAJOR modding that I'm not certain is even possible without tearring up the integrity of the chassis so bad that you wont be able to drive it.

On the TMaxx its awesome! I'm pretty sure they are coming out with a Savage tank soon ;)

I heading to Hobby shop NJ this afternoon to pick one up. I hope it's as awsome as u say it is Christian.

There are 2 things to remember with this tank.

1. It wont break (the #1 reason I bought it)
2. You wont be able to see how much fuel you have left. So if you are a track racer, best be mindful of your lap/tank count.

It wont leak, the O-Ring on the lid is beef! You can replace the nipples. Which btw, make sure you lock-tite them!

Its also a wee bit heavy, but for my application, that doesn't matter 1 bit ;)

It a square pattern on the bottom. The posts are probably and inch and a quarter or more apart (this could be off a little)

If you go to their site, download the e-drawings plug-in, you can see a 3d rotational model here:

General info here:

.....I am waiting for the viewer to load up again now, thats the only reason I didnt give you the spec's in this reply..... takes a bit.....ok, a longer bit than you might think.....couple minutes.....

Posts are .375 tall

Post holes are approx 1.4 from center to center

Tank is 2.6 wide

Tank is 3.29 wide on other 2 sides (or deep)

Bottom of tank is flat

Tank is 3.7 or so tall (with screws installed)

Fuel Feeds from the bottom in the middle of the posts and backpressure has a nipple!

about 1/4 of the tank is cutout on the top half of the tank area. This is tradional for fit purposes on a TMaxx. You can see that in the pics.

I sent them an email to see if they could or will be making them for the savage. They are making them for the terra, why I don’t know. The t maxx and savage are the top mt.’s?????

THANKS

also asked if they will do custom orders.
