Hi all, mi fuel tank has a big crack after wild bashing, do you know how to repair it?, I've allready ordered a new one but it will take two weeks to arrive so I need to repair it till then. Can I just melt the plastic over the crack?

Not sure if it would work or not but try a bike tube patch or water bed patch for now.

I would NEVER repair a fuel tank, just to much chance of damaging the engine. I never seen a stock fuel tank over $15 so I would say just DON'T do it man.

I completely agree with HumboldtBlazer. Any repair you make won't be as strong or as air tight as the original design. The smallest of air leaks can lean an engine out to the point of no return. You may seal it up and do the "under water blow test" and it might pass. But as things heat up after running, that sealed tank will expand and possible develop a leak. Play it safe. Replace the tank. If it means no running for a few weeks, I say OK. Better that than springing for a new engine.

Ok, thank's. After checking accuratelly I saw that the crack is about 2" long, yesterday I mounted an old buggy tank to run while I'm waiting, this tank will last about 5 or 6 minutes only but is better than nothing:radio:
