What effect will bad fuel pressure from the pipe have on the perfomance of the engine?

Thanks!

Simply said, no fuel pressure, no go. Or poor performance. It is very important to have pressure to push the fuel to the carb. Is the engine running poorly, especialy at high speed? If not, don't worry about it, you have enough pressure. Poor fuel pressure wiil directly affect the performance.

I am not doubting you in any way, but to me it seems that the low end will suffer from loss of power if the fuel pressure is low but when the fuel starts flowing at higher RPM, the engine will suffer less. The higher RPM means more pressure going through the pipe meaning more pressure through the fuel pressure line. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Would it cause the engine to bog?

Your HSN adjustment takes care of that by leaning the fuel to air mixture. Besides, the system is not a true "sealed system, when you hit high RPM's all the fuel that can be taken, is. you only get a to a certain level of pressure before it reverts and dumps, thus creating exhaust. THe problem, is not generating enough pressure in the first place. You can't create pressure low in the RPM's, you won't get to the high's.
