Fuel/Pressure line routing.

I'm thinking about doing something similar to my buggy. I want to make the line comming from the tank to the crb longer so i can put an inline fuel filter. Would the heat from the head melt the fuel tubing if I had it wrapped around it like Military had in the first pic? Or is it usually tough enought to resist that much heat?

If you have a fuel/splash guard for you break assembly, then just wrap one loop around it then go to the tank. I'm going back to having mine that way.

Looks a lot better.
IMO, I would not wrap the line around your mount. Not that it would ever happen but the mount can cut the line during an impact or from vibration. If the mount comes loose it will pull the line off as well.
If you look at the line holders I use you will see that on your setup you could just clip the lines together and have the pressure line follow the fuel line around to the front of the filter.

Now I’m really going to get anal, use clear line. It’s a lot easier to see the fuel and or air bubbles. GS makes some super thick line that will stay in place and never get damaged.

Clean, its all about clean. The cleaner your setup the less trouble you will have.

To answer some of the questions.

SilentGTboy - Yes, Ti. Got it along with both shock towers, much better !

robriguez - my LHS guy tells me that the tubing is safe up to something like 700-800 degrees.

FastEddy - Not anal at all man, in fact I use clear line. Just this time my LHS was out of it. If you look at their fuel line spools, the clear is almost always out. I think we all know why. I had this pink stuff around and just wanted to get the routing down. I agree with having a nice neat package, and I'm definately going to look into those clips. tighten things up just a bit more.

Nice touch with the L-nipple, wont have to worry about you pressure line getting knocked off.

Yes, much cleaner looking. You can really tell the difference by looking at the two pics together. The clips work great. I needed to go with the 90 degree nipple because the body was putting some pressure on the line with the straight up nipple. The car/truck side of the LHS was out, but the guys over on the aircraft side had all kinds of them. I think I have found an untapped resource. I keep forgetting the air folks have nitro engines too and all the accessories that go with them.

One more little ditty.
I like to use 2 collars on the linkage rods.
Better safe than sorry.
