Interested in what everyone has done as far as routing their fuel/pressure lines. Pics would be nice if possible. One other concern I have is in my owners manual is states that the pressure line should be a certain length. I forget the actual length but it's short, something like 4 inches. On the nitro review website I found that it is recommended that having a long pressure line is beneficial as it reduces the pressure waves back to the tank, resulting in less foaming/vibration of the fuel. Anyone have any feedback on this ? Thanks.

it is always good to have a fairly long pressure line for this very reason, there is no set length though. if you do not have the room, or desire to have that long of a line, u can eliminate the foaming of the fuel by spritzing one spritz of armorall into a fresh gallon of fuel

Doe u have to keep sprtizing the amorall evey once in awhile or the one time is good enough?

If your owners manual calls for a certain length, that is a great starting point. The factory has a lot of experience dealing with tech support for each individual RC. If issues arise and a longer line is needed you can lengthen it and go from there.

I sagest you look at photos in the gallery and pa-ruse some RC mags. to get an idea of how others place their lines.

I found some nifty line holders at my LHS that work well. You can see them on my CyberMaxx in the gallery.

one spritz per full gallon. no more no less.

thank eddy for this idea - he thought of it. works great too!

Now that I have a new engine for my Storm, the factory engine data can now be used to line my cats box. I will search the RB Concept website to see what they rec. for the CE plant.

Ah, part of my problem with my last engine dieing might have been that I was constantly changing the length of the fuel lines. Sometimes with a filter, somtimes without. That thread talked about the length affecting whether it ran lean or rich. So, with this new engine, when I break it in and perform the final tuning, I should keep the fuel line/pressure lines (whatever they might be), the same. Does this sound right ? Pick a length and stick with it, right ?

ummm on my 1/8 buggy I just run the pressure line from the pipe to the clips on the side of the tank and up into the cap on the fuel tank. Thats the only line that effects lean / rich. The fuel line and fuel filter only effect "lid time" (how long before the R/C cuts after bein gon it's lid). I would look at the picture in the manual of the fuel lines and just go off that.

I use a 6-7 inch pressure line. It gives smooth fuel delivery with extended lid time when I flip it.

The manual for the stock B01 gave dimensions for the pressure lines, but this new engine doesn't have anything in the documentation as far as fuel/pressure line length. I will take a pic tonight of the new lines and post it. See what everyone thinks.

I would like to take credit for this but I heard it from Christian.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but length of fuel lines really don't have to change from engine to engine, unless you're having a specific issue (see the post in that other thread about that touring car)

Here's what I ended up with. Fair amount of fuel line for good lid time and what I think is sufficient pressure line length.

Have you run it since you put all that fuel line on??

I'd be a hair worried about performance. If you notice running issues, before tuning, try shortening the length a little.

Looks good though and hopefully it runs well! Hats off!

Eddy- Id like to take credit for it too but my LHS guru's pointed me that way. Maybe some day we can find out who was the first person that said 'Hey! I wonder if we spritz dem here shiney stuff into the nitro if it willz stop a bubblin!?!?' Really, who the hell thought that up?!?!? AND IT WORKS!

Here is a shot of the Maxx fuel lines. You can also see the nifty fuel line clips I got from my LHS.

I think you have overkill on your fuel line. With the line I have (approximately 7 inches) and my large filter I get well over 1 minute of lid time.

You were spot on with the overkill Fast. I had 25 inches of fuel line. Here's what I have now, got it down to just over 8 inches.
